The award recognises Kumar’s innovative leadership in global transaction banking at Mizuho Bank.

Ashutosh Kumar, Mizuho Bank’s head of global transaction banking in Asia Pacific, was awarded the Transaction Finance Leader of the Year for 2024. The accolade conferred by The Asian Banker and its International Council of Advisors, highlights Kumar’s exceptional contributions and transformative vision in transaction banking.

In his acceptance speech, Kumar said: “This award is a testament to the incredible team and the trust our clients have placed in us.

Chris Kapfer, research director of TABInsights, commended Kumar’s leadership, noting: “From the very beginning, he understood that his biggest challenge would be to bring a mindset shift in order to build a more successful franchise.”
