Business Development/Sales Manager for ME & Africa (Awards, Events, Sponsorship)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To generate revenue for selling the Company’s range of services and products by way of telecommunication sales. Telecommunication sales include sales via emails, faxes and telephone;
  • Selling the full range of intelligence-based related products and business propositions for the Company’s training and conference business including research reports;
  • Promoting the products, services, activities and general reputation of the Company in such a way that will build goodwill in the marketplace and result in strong sales revenues;
  • Meeting all sales targets, directly as well as through the staff assigned under your care (if any);
  • Ensure a timely submission of your sales pipeline report for the products and services entrusted to you.

Core Skills:

  • The ability to sell the full range of intelligence-based products and services to clients of the Company within assigned budgets and sales targets;
  • The ability to develop sales capability by building networks and relationships with third parties and other intermediaries and potential clients of the Company;
  • The ability to promote the products, services, activities and general reputation of the Company in such a way that will build goodwill in the marketplace and result in strong sales revenue;
  • The ability to write and present sales propositions and secure sales, particularly of the large ticket items with reputable organizations that the Company seeks to do business with;
  • The ability to achieve the sales target set in the budget for each year.

You will be measured on the following KPIs:

  • Meeting your personal sales targets. Managing the Sales Revenue of the Company to ensure that we are profitable every month and generating strong income on a moving average basis;
  • Conducting regular meetings with existing and new clients every working day, by phone or in person. Email communication are not considered client meetings;
  • Managing the product and sales capability to ensure we meet the income targets;
  • File all your pipelines and sales reports in a timely manner, updated weekly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Publication, Sales and Marketing, Banking and Finance, Research and related fields;
  • Ability to close publication sales to the banking and fintech community;
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal is preferred;
  • Mature and experience working with remote sales teams in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong business acumen and execution skills;
  • Mature executives with the ability to interact with top management face-to-face;
  • Leadership capability and good team player;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and preferably Apollo, Hubspot;
